THERMOS
THERMOS — Thermal Mapping Optimisation and Scale-up THERMOS is an Innovate UK-supported research programme led by Sensor Coating Systems, in collaboration with NPL, the University of Nottingham and Monitor Coatings. The programme aims to accelerate and scale up SCS’s Thermal History Coating technology through improvements to coating materials, optical instrumentation and data analysis. This work will support faster delivery of high-resolution temperature maps, helping engineers develop and validate next-generation engine components.

INTEPS
INTEPS — Integrated Optical Thermal Phosphorescence System Supported by Innovate UK, INTEPS brought together Sensor Coating Systems and NPL to explore improvements to the optical measurement process used in thermal mapping. The project focused on combining complementary measurement techniques within a single system, with the aim of reducing measurement time and improving measurement consistency.

SPECTRA
SPECTRA — Analysis for Innovators Supported by Innovate UK’s Analysis for Innovators (A4I) programme, SPECTRA brought together Sensor Coating Systems and the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in a collaborative research project.
