Doing a Master’s and making an impact at SCS

Stefano is one of SCS’s current Master students working in automation and robotics. Stefano is from Italy and studies at the prestigious Polytechnic University of Turin. He is one of the best in his year at university and was highly recommended by his Professor. He works on the improvement and autonomous signal detection using an ABB robotic arm.

Writing my master’s thesis in a company like Sensor Coating Systems adds a huge value. I am developing my personal skills and at the same time contribute towards improving SCS technology. This is greatly fulfilling!
Being part of such a multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team is exciting. Typically, everyone in the team is available to share their knowledge and assist when needed.
After two weeks I had such a good understanding that I was able to start working autonomously on my own project. It is really satisfying when you gain a complete overview of the product development process, showing to you the importance of your own contributions.

Sensor Coating Systems offers exciting placements for talented BSc and Master students. SCS also has a successful history of combining industrial work with a PhD education. The technical areas are diverse from materials science, physics, and mechanical engineering to automation and robotics. Most of our staff is educated to PhD level and can assist competently in the different areas.
